It is clear to say that Tokyo is a clash, a slap in your face. Tokyo has always been the future planet of my childhood, the place 10 years ahead. My childhood was in the 80’s.

There are many new  and surprising buildings and a walk in Akihabara makes you feel as though you were in the future. But in Tokyo there is something in the air that’s really 80’s. Maybe it’s the vintage cabbies, the electronic beige toilet or that vending machine in the street. Tokyo is modern but not really contemporary.

Flooded by the lights,  the neon, the billboards,  the massive screens, my photography pops-up as well and become over-technicolor.
